Book design about the work of artist A.R. Penck edited by Elain Tam to accompany White Cube’s exhibition titled Paintings 1974–1990.
A series of images were made to punctuate Hannah Klemm’s essay, result of a series of experiments in image reproduction with two special inks. These were developed to establish a visual conversation with the archival imagery from the other textual section, a conversation between A.R. Penck and Andrea Schlieker originally published in Artscribe in 1983.
