The following thesis is a case study of the 18 paired mandalas drawn by Carl G. Jung in the Red Book, with the purpose of demonstrating the hypothesis that the artistic creation has a positive, unconscious impact on our psyche and spiritual life. I have analysed different aspects of the creative process that Jung went through. It emphasizes its different stages, from the creation of the symbol as a primordial image, the creative imagination which this image is evoked through and the physical production of it, that is to say, the artistic creation.
